We’re looking for a QA Lead to manage functional testing activities on multiple projects ranging from iOS and Android applications to mobile sites and web applications.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute extensive manual testing (functionality, integration, and regression) for mobile applications and websites following detailed test cases (30-40% of time)
- Meet with existing and potential clients and represent the company in the highest professional manner
- Work with client and development/engineering teams to lead and to execute effective quality assurance through the life of the creative/technical related projects
- Work directly with clients identifying and logging bugs and/or issues, develop and maintain testing plans, test cases and supporting documents to verify that mobile applications and web sites operate properly and are defect-free
- Strategizing with clients’ project teams to anticipate problems, analyze solutions, identify alternatives and suggest recommendations
- Work closely with the Project Director and other QA Leads to improve process and workflow between the different projects
- Create/prepare test cases and test instructions
- Create and execute high level quality test scenarios prior to testing
- Monitor testing progress and maintain overall quality of bugs for all assigned projects
- Align resources to meet the needs of the projects
- Participate in training new testers
- Answer questions and messages from testers on Slack
- May conduct tester check-ins/1-on1’s
- Provide timely status reports to internal QA Lead and/or Project Manager
- Work in-office and/or remotely with Analysts throughout testing cycle and send Client update report when needed
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of experience as a QA Lead (or performing lead duties)
- Experience with web and mobile apps manual testing
- E-commerce testing experience is a plus
- High energy with a positive attitude
- Must be familiar with Windows and Mac OS X
- Must be familiar with testing security procedures
- Must be familiar with browser versions, iOS, Android and mobile OS versions
- Must be familiar with bug tracking tools such as Jira, Redmine, or Pivotal Tracker
- Flexibility with a changing environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail, disciplined, organized approach
- Comfortable with multitasking
