Where are you from?
I was originally born in Seoul, South Korea. When I was very young my parents immigrated to the United States. I lived in Las Vegas, Nevada until I moved to Portland and landed a job with PLUS QA when I was twenty years old. I guess the rest is history!
What do you do for fun?
I pretty much love all things tech related, especially things regarding microcomputers. As for things outside of that – I enjoy abstract b-boying (breakdancing), writing, playing guitar, and enjoying nature. Red Rock is one of my favorite places to frequent – most people are surprised to find that there are activities to do outside of gambling and drinking in Las Vegas, but it’s really a hidden gem.
What do you like about working in QA?
I like that Plus QA is very diverse and that we have people from all over! It’s really refreshing to get to work with so many people with all different kinds of backgrounds. The work itself is very rewarding. When you see that the issue you created a ticket for has been resolved, which the developers may not have noticed otherwise, it’s the best feeling ever!
What has your experience at Plus QA been like so far?
It’s been extremely positive. I’m extremely grateful that I have an opportunity to work with some of the most fun, caring, and intelligent people I know.
What are you most looking forward to in 2018?
I’m excited to learn new things, especially anything regarding automation! I’m also stoked to continue to grow with my peers, friends, and family as well as foster new relationships this year. I’m also really looking forward to donating my hair this year, I’ve been growing it out for nearly two years and it’s about time I cut it and give it away to someone who could use it.
