Android and iOS January 2017 Statistics

Time to analyze! As we do every month, let’s focus on Android and iOS statistics.

Marshmallow is still gaining users!

While all previous versions are in decline, Marshmallow, Nougat 7.0 and 7.1 are rising. Numbers follow the same logic every month.
People choose the latest Android operating system to get the best performance and features for their phone.
To verify you have the latest OS version, you have to open the “General Settings” and select “About Phone” and then “Software Update”. If you are not running the latest OS, you will have to download it and re-start your phone.

What about Apple?

79% of iPhone users are using iOS 10. This is 3% more than the past month. While the rate of adoption was impressive last month, in January, we observed a slower evolution. There are still 16% of iOS 9 users, which is 2% less than the previous month.
People continually upgrade to the latest version of iOS to get the new features. Currently, iOS 10.3 is tested in beta and should be live shortly. We are also expecting the launch of iOS 11 later this year; we know that Apple is already testing it.
