Where are you from?
I was born and raised in Southern Oregon. As an adult I slowly moved north in the state until I finally settled in Portland. I have been here since 2003 and love the city.
What do you do for fun?
All things ultimate frisbee. I have been playing for 12 years and have spent many summers traveling up and down the west coast playing. In addition to playing, I help to organize and operate the largest adult frisbee league in the city. It is the same league where I first learned to play the game and I really enjoy being able to create a space for new players who want to improve in a sport I love.
When I am not playing ultimate, I’m usually chasing around a little toddler named Lake. She is my 19th month old daughter. I don’t think she ever stops moving or talking which makes for some fun times. She tries to keep her social media game on point, so I “help” her with her instagram account.
You can also find me singing and dancing at every home Timbers game with my wife. #RCTID
What do you like about working in QA?
I love the challenge of solving a new problems everyday.
What has your experience at Plus QA been like so far?
I have been with the company since 2012, when I started as a part-time tester. It’s been a great experience to be part of a growing company. Plus QA has always hired people that are excited about what they do at work and their outside life. This makes it a fun place to work and has allowed me to learn so many new skills.
What are you most looking forward to in 2017?
Personally I am looking forward to playing ultimate again after a long year of rehab from ACL reconstruction surgery. Professionally I am excited for the company to move to a new space and all the new opportunities that will bring.
